I got up and had breakfast, then we went downstairs and started heading to the beach. When we were in the ocean, Isabel decided to get on my shoulders and she dunked me, but it was OK. I swam in the ocean, it was warm and salty - but a lot of fun. This girl came around and braided my hair as you can see (if my dad shows a picture). I played monkey in the middle with Eli and Isabel and then we walked home. My dad is making double decker cheeseburgers tonight for dinner.
Carrie's thoughts for the day:
Tomorrow we are heading to Barcelona for the day in search of a soccer jersey for Eli and to check out the city. I am curious to see Barcelona after seeing Madrid. We actually had a personal tour of Madrid on Monday - my wonderful friend, Denise (who lives in Madrid) took us on a personal tour of the city. It was so nice to have a tour guide to navigate through the city and we checked several items off our "to get" list. So thank you so much, Denise (and her adorable family)! Issy now has Spain's goalie #1 Castillas and Kal has Real Madrid's #7 Ronaldo. Love the fact that everything out here is soccer - our kids are so thrilled with that and the fact that we are watching every game in the European Cup!
I have really enjoyed Spain and am sad this is our last week in this amazing country, but I know we will be back some day! I will blog again in the next country - which will be The South of France. So until then - Adios!
Loved skyping with you all today. You all look so happy and healthy.
